CEREC Same Day Dental Appliances

In the past, getting a crown involved multiple appointments, which could be spaced weeks apart. It also involved having a temporary crown while you waited for the permanent crown to be made in an outside lab. At Radiance Dental, we offer a different and better option to the traditional process.

We are proud to offer our patients the latest technology when it comes to having crowns placed. CEREC is a dental machine, which allows us to create veneers, inlays, onlays and crowns in one visit right in our office.

The CEREC process starts by removing the decay from the tooth and reshaping it. A picture is then taken and appears on the computer screen in 3D. Dr. Chawla can then design the restoration. The nest step involves the CEREC machine milling or carving out the restoration while you are in the office. It eliminates the need for temporary crowns and makes the process more convenient.

Same day crowns using CEREC technology allow you to walk in and walk out the same day with a restoration. The process also eliminates the need for messy impressions.

Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns
Crowns are used to protect and strengthen teeth that are badly decayed or fractured. By covering your tooth and restoring it to its original shape and size, crowns (or caps) reduce your pain, save your tooth from needing to be removed and keep your smile functional and attractive. At Radiance Dental, we can see if a crown is necessary to save your smile.

Crowns are usually only necessary if decay has reached the point where your tooth structure is compromised. When a crown is installed, the decay is removed from your tooth and a core build-up is applied to insulate the nerve and create a surface for bonding the crown to. An impression is taken of the remaining tooth, and a crown is fabricated. Once the crown has been created, it is cemented to your tooth.

Made incredibly strong for protecting the remaining tooth, the crown is custom fitted to ensure that the seam between the tooth and crown is miniscule to protect it from further decay.

If you’re experiencing decay and pain in one of your teeth, stop by our office to see if a crown can save your smile. Schedule an appointment with Radiance Dental in Camas, WA by calling (360) 369-6420. For more information, visitwww.RadianceDentalNW.com

Lumineers
Porcelain veneers are one of the top ways to improve your smile by covering imperfections of your teeth with thin pieces of porcelain. At Radiance Dental, we offer a new type of veneers called Lumineers. These are similar to traditional veneers, except they are made of even thinner pieces of porcelain, so patients don’t need to worry about filing down their natural teeth too far in order to make room for the porcelain. To put it in perspective, Lumineers are about as thin as contact lenses.

Patients achieve many benefits by choosing Lumineers, such as:
  • Not having to lose as much of their tooth surface since the porcelain is thinner.
  • Paying less for Lumineers than traditional veneers.
  • Having a natural-looking procedure due to the thinner design.
  • Getting a new smile with a minimally-invasive procedure.
  • Improving staining, spacing issues, chips, and worn down and misaligned teeth.
Lumineers are applied through a simple process, beginning with preparing and taking impressions of the teeth to bonding the fabricated material to the teeth. After the bonding material dries, the Lumineers are polished and the process is complete.
